Also, in the heart of the Old Sugar Mill, about 15 minutes from Downtown Sacramento is Elevation ten. Owned by three families and named after Clarksburg elevation, which is 10 feet above sea level, this winery offers a variety of artisanal and hand-crafted wines.
Their tasting menu consists in 5 wines and covers 1 white, 1 rosé, and 3 reds. During my visit with some friends, we sat in their cute outdoor patio surrounded by the orange bricks of the old sugar factory. In this cozy ambiance, we tried their 2018 Clarksburg Reserve Chardonnay, 2019 Rosé of Pinot Noir, 2016 Clarksburg Cabernet Franc, 2017 Compass Cruvée (Red Blend: Primitivo, Barbera, Sangiovese), and lastly their 2016 Coombsville Syrah.
My favorite wine from their selection was their 2018 Clarksburg Reserve Chardonnay. On the nose it has notes of pear, lychee, and apple. On the palate it has hints of apple and caramel with a grassy fresh finish. This chardonnay was aged in French oak and on the lees (dead yeast cells that have already done their job of fermenting), in my opinion, it is not buttery and rather delightfully fresh and little creamy.

Propiedad de tres familias y llamada así por la elevación de Clarksburg, que está a 10 pies sobre el nivel del mar, esta bodega ofrece una variedad de vinos artesanales y hechos a mano.
Su menú de degustación consta de 5 vinos y comprende 1 blanco, 1 rosado y 3 tintos. Durante mi visita con algunos amigos, nos sentamos en su lindo patio al aire libre rodeado por los ladrillos naranjas de la antigua fábrica de azúcar. En este ambiente acogedor, probamos su 2018 Clarksburg Reserve Chardonnay, 2019 Rosé de Pinot Noir, 2016 Clarksburg Cabernet Franc, 2017 Compass Cruvée 2017 (Mezcla de: Primitivo, Barbera y Sangiovese) y, por último, su 2016 Coombsville Syrah.
Mi vino favorito de su selección fue el 2018 Clarksburg Reserve Chardonnay. En la nariz tiene notas de pera, lichi y manzana. En la boca tiene notas de manzana y caramelo con un final a hierba fresca. Este chardonnay fue añejado en roble francés y sobre lías (células de levadura muertas que ya fermentaron), en mi opinión, no es mantecoso y es deliciosamente fresco y un poco cremoso.
